Bryant College Choice: How Do You Get Students to Talk About Themselves?

Hey everyone,
It's hard to believe that we're already in the full swing of things. This Monday we had our first college choice activity at Bryant, the introduction to the college search (Where do I want to go to college?).
It went very well, except a couple of coaches were having trouble getting their students to open up. Does anyone know a tip/strategy/trick to get the more quiet kids to contribute? It seems to me that aside from reconfiguring their personalities to make them more extroverted, there is little that could be done about this, but any help would be more than appreciated.
Unfortunately, Bryant HS could not accommodate us in their computer lab, so we had to make some adjustments to the college search program. We made the fastweb assignment homework, and for those who cannot finish it alone, we made an arrangement with the East River Development Alliance (ERDA - our site partner) so that Wed. next week they would open their computer lab for these students. I'm hoping that these two options will be enough for everyone to finish this segment of college choice.
Also, Nana (Co-Director at LICHS) and I have been working together to set up a financial aid workshop at ERDA for July 29. It seems that we just scored a speaker, Valerie Cabral from NYU HEOP, so we're very excited about this. I used the list of contacts that LGR provided us, the blue one, and basically e-mailed a slew of candidates. If you would like the template for that e-mail, put in a request at rag46@cornell.edu, and I'll be happy to send it over for a small fee (j/k).
Hoping all is well at our sister sites,
Rich Getzel
